Julia has always had a love for small animals and an interest in medicine. This lead her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine as an RVT. Her aunt is an RVT in the Yukon, which is also where Julia completed her externship. She graduated from Dalhousie Agricultural College in 2023, and has worked at Burnside Veterinary Hospital ever since. Her favorite areas of this field are learning about the different kinds of multimodal treatments, and providing nursing care to patients in clinic.

At home she has two dogs, one chocolate lab named Charlie Brown and a German shorthair named Walter Schmidt. Outside of work Julia enjoys outdoor activities, escape rooms, and reading books.
